In 2014, San Antonio-based freelance writer and editor of CineSnob.net Kiko Martinez, was voted in as member of the Houston Film Critics Society, the first non-Houston resident to receive this distinction. This year he also celebrated his 10th anniversary as a contributing writer for the San Antonio Current.
Kiko, who has contributed to a number of outlets across the U.S. over the years, also provides film insight for News4SA.com and FoxSanAntonio.com. He is the only San Antonio film critic who is a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and has a vote in the Critic’s Choice Awards each year. In 2013, he was accepted as a member of the International Press Academy.
Kiko co-hosts a weekly movie podcast, The CineSnob Podcast, which can be downloaded on iTunes every Sunday. He is the Digital Media Manager at the Southwest School of Art.
